Note: His mother, Dr. Daniel O'Connell Polin's second wife was Mary Shelby (Caldwell) Polin. Mary Joseph Caldwell Polin was born November 17, 1887 and baptized December 18, 1887 at St. Dominic Church, at Springfield, Kentucky by the Rev. Joseph A. Hogarty. His godmother was Rose Polin.
