On Monday, April 22, 1889, at his home in Meade county, Dr. J. H. Polin the 32nd (sic) year of his age. His remains were brought to this place for interment and were laid to rest in the family lot at St. Rose on Wednesday. John Polin was well known to our citizens having practiced medicine at this place and also at Maud, in this county. All friends of auld lang syne scattered throughout the country will regret to lear of his death. His father Dr. D. O. Polin was with him during the illness, pneumonia, that caused his death. Fuberal services were held at St. Dominics.
