HOWARD A. MILLER

Howard A. Miller, age 81, of 3112 Kete St., Manitowoc, died Monday evening, October 27, 1997, at St. Mary's Home for the Aged, Manitowoc.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 30, 1997, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home and 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Concelebrating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Roman Zbieranski O.F.M. and Rev. Thomas Wojciechowski O.F.M. with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum.

Howard was born December 24, 1915, in Manitowoc, son of the late Reuben H. and Clara Regel Miller. He was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School class of 1933.

On June 10, 1939, he married the former Dorothy Pankratz at St. Mary Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. He was employed at Mirro Aluminum Company of Manitowoc for 45 years retiring as a fireman in 1978. After his retirement, Howard was also employed with Randy's Bar, formerly Eve's. Howard was an avid Cub's fan for 72 years. He was a member of the Manitowoc Eagles Aerie #706.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, Manitowoc; a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Patti Miller, Emmaus, Penn.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Pat and Thomas Jacques, Oakland, Calif., Darlene Miller, Manitowoc; four grandchildren, Traci and Gary Miller, Kenji and Rene Jacques; one sister and three brothers-in-law, Edith and Richard Morris, Art Heinrichs, George Ploederl, all of Manitowoc. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, and his loving dog, Tina.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Marilyn Ploederl, and Ruth Heinrichs.

Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday (TONIGHT) where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. by Rev. Tom Wojciewchowski O.F.M. followed by the Eagles Aerie #706 Memorial Service.
