The death of Mrs. Jacob E. Ney, 85, lifelong resident of Wilkes-Barre, occurred at her home, 262 East Market Street, yesterday morning following several weeks' illness. She was the widow of Jacob Ney.
Mrs. Ney had resided at the East Market Street address since her marriage 60 years ago. She was a member of St. Nicholas' Church and the Ladies' Catholic Benevolent Association. Her husband, a former carpenter, passed away in 1942.
She is survived by three children, Edward, Waterbury, Conn.; Joseph, at home, and Mrs. Mark Trainor, Wilkes-Barre; also five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
The funeral will take place Saturday morning at 8:30 from the funeral home, 233 South Washington Street. A solemn high mass of requiem will be celebrated at 9 in St. Nicholas' Church and interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.
Friends may call tonight and Friday night from 7 to 10.
