Ray Gooch, 76 years of age, of Kings Mountain, Kentucky, departed this life on Tuesday, May 9th, 2006 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Kentucky.
Ray was born on Monday, July 1st, 1929 in Kings Mountain, Kentucky, son of the Late Lloyd and Grace Trimble Gooch. He was a former employee of the Nation Casket Company in Lancaster, Kentucky.
Ray was survived by six brothers, Ralph Gooch of Waynesburg, Kentucky, Raymond Gooch of Kings Mountain, Kentucky, Bobby Gooch of Versailles, Kentucky, Paul Gooch of Fairfield, Ohio, Kenneth Gooch of Kings Mountain, Kentucky, and John Gooch of Fairfield, Ohio; two sisters, Lillian Marlatt of North Port, Florida, and Mary Holly Thompson of Richmond, Kentucky; and a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Gooch and Grace Gooch; one brother, James Gooch; and one sister, Helen Monahan.
Visitations were held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 11th, 2006 at the Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home, Waynesburg.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 12th, 2006 in the Chapel of the Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home with Bro. Barry Delaney officiating.
Burial followed in the Pleasant Point Cemetery.
