At Somerset Home
BARKER. Dec. 31—Funeral services, in charge of Barker Lodge, IOOF, were held Sunday afternoon for George William Leighton, 71, at the family home, in the Roosevelt highway, Town of Somerset. The Rev. Marcum B. May officiated and burial was in Somerset cemetery.
Mr. Leighton, a lifelong resident of Somerset, died at the family home on December 19. He was an active member of Barker lodge and took a keen interest in town and county affairs.
He is survived by one son, Kenneth Leighton, of Newfane; one daughter, Enid Leighton, at home; two grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Elisabeth Fitts, of Somerset, and
one brother, Frank Leighton, of Kenmore.
