Valma Verlen, 84, of Kenosha, died Friday evening (October 30, 1998) at Kenosha Care Center.
She was born May 26, 1935, in Draper, Wisconsin, where she attended public schools and lived most of her life. She came to Kenosha in 1990.
She married Steve Verlen in 1935 in Minnesota. He preceded her in death in September 1995.
For 44 years she co-owned and managed Verlen's Musky Trail Bar in Draper with her husband, retiring in 1989.
Surviving is one son of Kenosha, two grandsons, one great-granddaughter, and one sister, Ella Skakowski of Chicago.
She was preceded in death by a 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
