Clara Keys, 87, a long-time resident of the Winter area, died Sunday, June 23, at the Marian Nursing Home, Radisson.
She was born June 22, 1898, in Shawano Township, the daughter of Frank Hubbell and Lulu Cowles Hubbell. She resided in the Winter area for many years and was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Winter.
Surviving are four sons, Edward (Edith) Keys of St. Paul, Richard (Sharon) Keys of Winter, Kenneth (Helen) Keys of Greenfield, Arlin (Geraldine) Keys of White Bear Lake, MN, and Robert Keys of Hayward; two daughters, Myrtle (Ray) Roberts of Gardner, MT and Ruby (Richard) Bruso of Rhinelander; 22 grandchildren- 16 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Velma (Steve) Verlin of Winter, Cora Paulick of Milwaukee and Draper, Beulah (Ray) Anderson of Little Falls, MN and Ella Skokowski of Elk Grove Village, IL.
Her husband preceded her in death in 1960.
The funeral service was conducted at 1:30PM Wednesday, June 26, at the United Presbyterian Church of Winter with Pastor Del Bigelow officiating. Interment followed in the Winter Cemetery. Visitation was one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
Serving as casketbearers were grandsons. The Koerpel Funeral Home of Hayward was in charge of the service.
