Joetta Dalgo (1939-1998) married Carlyle Blackwell Abel (1938-2012) in Harrison County, Mississippi on April 4, 1957.

Carlyle Blackwell Abel (1938-2012), age 74 years, of The Woodlands, Texas, died March 1, 2012, at his residence where he resided with his wife Paulette Baham Abel. He was born at Biloxi on January 4, 1938 and was a graduate of Biloxi High School; served 6 years in the US Coast Guard; a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Worker Local Union 903 for 50 years; and a member of the Grand Masonic Lodge of Mississippi F. & A. M.

Carlyle was preceded in death by his parents, Carlyle Blackwell Abel Sr. and Nora Mae Abel. He was survived by four daughters: Tammy Lawrence and Stacy DuLong of Mississippi and Vicky Lucci and Jamie Redmond of Florida; and one son, Shannon Abel, of Florida; two stepchildren, Sidney Allen Smith of Oxford, New Jersey and Lisa Anderson of The Woodlands, Texas; 7 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Elaine Clark of Pensacola, Florida and Nancy Aeschliman of Gulfport, Mississippi.

Bradford O'Keefe funeral home will be in charge of the graveside memorial on Saturday, March 10, 2012, at 2:00 P.M.
