Willie Carl Black

Funeral services were held at Ott-Lee Funeral Chapel in Morton on Friday for Willie Carl Black who died, suddenly, of a heart attack on Aug. 7. The Rev. R.J. Johnson of Jackson officiated and burial was in Morton Memorial Cemetery with Ott-Lee in charge.

Mr. Black was a former Montgomery countian, was 76 and a member of the Primitive Baptist Church in Jackson.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Lura Lee Brown Black of Morton; two sons, Randolph and John, of Morton; three daughters, Mrs. Thelma Pearson and Mrs. Violet Bogdohn of Jackson; Mrs. Mae Roberson of Laurel; two sisters, Mrs. Nannye Brister of Winona; Mrs. Maudie Tanksley of Greenwood; four brothers, Earl Black of Poplar Creek; Bowers and Edgar Black of French Camp and Sanford Black of Sidon; seventeen grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Grandsons served as pallbearers.
