Services for Mr. Tim Perry, Sr. will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2004 in Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale, with the Rev. Stephen Laughlin officiating. Burial will be in Alexandria Memorial Gardens under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mr. Perry, age 65, of Oakdale, died at 3:59 a.m. Monday, Jan. 19, 2004 in Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria.
He was a lifelong resident of Oakdale where he was a member of First Baptist Church. He retired as a school bus driver from the Allen Parish School System. He was active in youth activities and was an avid fisherman and hunter.
He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, of Oakdale; three sons, Marvin Perry of Cheneyville, Tim Perry Jr. of Lake Charles and Titus Perry of Marshall, Minn.; two daughters, Melonie Skoug of Oakdale and Melinda Pappan of Newkirk, Okla.; three sisters, Dovie Thacker of Denham Springs, and Gretta Ellzey and Sandra Calcoate, both of Oakdale; several grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
