Leslie Ankrom, 70, well known retired farmer and sawmill operator, died at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, 1955, in Greene County Memorial Hospital a few hours after suffering a heart attack. Mr. Ankrom had not been well for some time but his death was unexpected.
A lifelong resident of Jefferson Township, he was born Sept. 12, 1885, a son of the late William and Mary Stilwell Ankrom. He was a member of the Coallick Methodist Church and was superintendent of the Crayne Sunday School. He married Rosa Huffman who died in 1938.
