Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Collier-Butler Chapel for Coleman Lafayette Lankford Jr., 79, Owens Avenue, Attalla, who died Monday, Dec 18, 1995. The Rev. John Robinson will officiate.
Burial in Forrest Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral Home is in charge.
Mr. Lankford was a native and longtime resident of Etowah County. He was a member of Curtiston United Methodist Church and a retried textile worker.
He is survived by his sons, David R. (Patricia) Lankford, Virginia Beach, Va., Larry L. (Glenda) Lankford and Kenneth R. (Deborah) Lankford, Gadsden, and Hiram A. (Faye) Lankford, Southside; stepson, Thomas M. (Lillian) Hollis, Websters Chapel; 18 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren; brother, Earl Lankford, Attalla; sisters, Fairy Mae Lankford and Helen Lankford, Gadsden; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friend, John D. Thrasher, Gadsden.
Pallbearers will be friends and relatives.
Honorary pallbearers will be staff of Etowah County Home Health Care, Mary Fuller, nurses and staff of Gadsden Health Care.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 this evening.
