With great sorrow, we announce to all our relatives, friends and neighbors that our dear husband, father and grandfather-Josef Vrbsky died after a long and painful illness on Saturday, February 15, 1913 and burial was at the Czecho-Slovak cemetery in Wilber, Nebraska on Monday February 17, 1913 with many relatives, friends and neighbors attending. Our lovd one was born October 16, 1830 in Hejskov, District Beroun in Czechoslovakia and at the time of his death was 82 years and a few months.

He came to America with his beloved wife about 40 years ago. First, we want to express our heartfelt thanks to those relatives, friends and neighbors who helped in any way during his long illness and a the time of death of our beloved husband, father and grandfather. We also thank all who sent flowers, the pallbearers, Rev. Hancik for his service, the singers, the undertaking firm of Huletz and Havel for their preparations and to those who came to pay their last respects to our dear husband, father and grandfather. We will always remember that our loved one was so loved by relatives and friends as he was by his own family and so many came to the funeral and burial.

The remaining mourners-Anna Vrbsky, mourning wife; Katherine Jonas, Anna Formanek, Alzbeta Prachar and Marie Skleba, daughters; Frank Vrbsky, son; Joseph Fromanek, son-in-law; Katherine Vrbsky, daughter-in-law; many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

Date of death was February 14, 1913 at age 82 years, Nebraska Death Certificate #1940

Mr. Joseph Vrbsky, Sr., died at his home in Wilber, Saturday; February 15, aged 83 years. Mr. Vrbsky is survived by his wife to whom he was married 61 years ago in Bohemia, and four daughters, Mrs. Formanek, Mrs. Prachar; Mrs. Jonas and Mrs. Skleba, and one son, Frank Vrbsky. The funeral was held from the Catholic Church on Monday, the sermon being delivered by Rev. Father Hancik. Burial in the Bohemian National Cemetery.
