Hulda Voss Sievers
Hulda Sievers, age 86 died October 2, 1977 at the Cass County Memorial Hospital, in Atlantic, Iowa. She was a lifelong resident of the Walnut area.
Mrs. Sievers was born at Walnut on May 29, 1891. Her parents being Chris Voss and Anna Ehlers Voss. She was married to Rudolph Sievers on February 26, 1912 at Avoca, Iowa. They farmed south of Walnut until they retired and moved to town in 1941. He preceded her in death in 1960. To Rudolph and Hulda were born five sons, Marvin of Walnut, Vernon of Omaha, Orville of Avoca and Arnold of Atlantic. All of whom survive along with 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Four brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
Services were held for Mrs. Sievers on Wednesday October 5, 1977 at 2:00 p.m. in the Peace United Church of Christ in Walnut. Officiating Clergyman was Rev. Bruno Romanowski. Burial was in the Walnut Cemetery. Casket Bearers were: David Sievers, Richard Faaborg, Dennis Sievers, Steven Sievers, Richard Sievers and Byron Sievers.
