Funeral service will be held Friday, March 7, at 2 p.m. for Charlie Voss, long-time Walnut resident. Mr. Voss passed away at his home Wednesday morning at the age of 74. He had been in failing health for some time, and death was attributed to a heart condition.
Mr. Voss was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Voss. He was born near Walnut in Pottawattamie county and grew to manhood here. He farmed in the Walnut vicinity until the spring of 1935 when he moved to Walnut, where he had since resided.
He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Rudolph Sievers of Walnut, and a brother, Emil Voss of Atlantic.
Services will be held Friday March 7, at 2 o'clock at Rieck-Berthusen Funeral Home. Rev. Fred Fieker of the Peace Evangelical and Reformed church will officiate.
