JEFFERSON - Lana M. Stannard, 99, Jefferson, died on Saturday April 15, 2006, at the Countryside Home in Jefferson.

She was born on June 3, 1906, in Cato the daughter of the late John and Caroline (Fisher) Denk. Lana married Oramel Stannard of Marathon on May 5, 1924. He died in 1970.

She spent most of her life in Fort Atkinson where she raised her family. She then moved to Lake Mills where she lived for over 20 years until health issues forced her to move to the Countryside Home in Jefferson. Lana had been a seamstress for the Countryside Home for over 20 years, retiring in 1970.

Survivors include one son of Fort Atkinson; three daughters, one in Lake Mills,one in Stoughton, and one in Matlacha Island, Fla.; nine grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

She was the last member of her immediate family.

Also preceding in death were two great-grandsons, one great-granddaughter, and a son-in-law, Edwin Rehm.

Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Bryan Engfer and Rev. Bill Beyer officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Fort Atkinson.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. on Thursday at the church until the time of service. Memorials may be made to the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Lake Mills.
