Helen Augusta is the daughter of Rev. David Oram and Mary Pamellia Purdy. She married (1) James William Gray in about 1861. They are the parents of at least the following:

1) Mary Estella Gray (1862-1936) md Thomas Whitfield Whitenect


She married (2) Charles Earnest Pitman on 31 December 1868, in Hebron, Yarmouth. They are the parents of at least the following:

1) Earnest Egbert (1868-1966)

2) Elsbrey Pitman (1889- )


Her death information is from Sweeny's Funeral Home records listed, under name of Augusta R. Pitman, age 70. (1910, pg. 85). Her funeral ordered by T.W. Whitenect (her son-in-law), and charged to Charles Pitman.


She was buried on 22 Jan 1910, per the cemetery records.
