Mary Annabelle is the daughter of Rev. Davd Oram and Mary Pamellia Purdy. She married (1) Albert Charles Haines on 19 February 1871, in Freeport, Digby. They are the parents of at least the following:
1) Walter Oram (1872- ) md (a) Ruth Blackburn and (b) Leonara D. (Braunsroth) Barber
2) Henry Winthrop (1876-1957)
3) Pamelia Isabel (1877- )
4) Lila Roberta (1879- ) md Walter G. Hunt
5) Mary Essica (1882- ) md Eugene Fred Bain
6) Helen Evanel (1890- )
She married (2) George S. Brown on 2 May 1898, in New Brunswick.
According to the 1930 census taken in Arlington, Massachusetts, she was living with her daughter, Mary Essica, and her son-in-law Eugene Bain. She was still living with them when she died.
Please note that there is a Captain A. C. Haines listed on the Lost to the Sea Monument, who MAY be her first husband. It fits that the ship originated in Hebron, the part that doesn't fit is that he is listed as only having one child. He died aboard the Arlington in January 1893, in Buenos Aires.
This memorial may be a cenotaph, as she is not listed in the cemetery records. She is most likely buried in Massachusetts, where she was living.
