Born in Cleveland County on Dec. 4, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Nelson G. and Docia Wright Self. She was co-owner and bookkeeper for City Automotive for 25 years before retiring in 1988.
She was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church, the Love-Joy Sunday School Class, the Afternoon Mission Group, and the Keenage choir. She loved making quilts for all three of her daughters, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed cross stitching and working crossword puzzles. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, James O. "Jim" Wolfe; a daughter, Debbie Wolfe Harris; 3 brothers, J. B. Self Sr., Coleman F. Self, and Buford Lee Self Sr.; and a sister, Louise Self Norman.
Mrs. Wolfe is survived by two daughters, Betsy Wolfe Patterson and husband Jerry of Shelby and Pam Wolfe Patterson and husband Scott of Shelby; three grandchildren, Kirk Harris and wife Laurie of Lafayette Colorado, Emily Harris Parker and husband Jason of Shelby, and Sarah Spurling Sherman and husband Daniel of Shelby; five great grandchildren, Rachel Caroline Harris, Ryan Oliver Parker and Evan Reed Parker all of Shelby, Ethan Gabriel Harris and Caleb Alexander Harris both of Lafayette Colorado; her twin sister Mableen Self Cabaniss of Shelby; and her Calico Cat "Sweetie" .

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday June 17, 2013 at Cecil at M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home on Elizabeth Avenue.
