Born in Cleveland County, Mrs. Self was a lifelong member of Elizabeth Baptist Church and the Adult No. 7 Sunday school class.
She was co-owner and bookkeeper of Norman?s Wrecker Service. Louise loved her family, she enjoyed her flower garden, sewing and canning vegetables.
Her parents, Nelson Greer Self and Docia May Wright Self and brothers, Coleman F. Self Jr., J.B. Self and Buford L. Self Sr., preceded her in death.
Surviving are her husband of 63 years, James A. Norman; a son, Michael J. Norman and wife, Connie, of Shelby; sisters, Mableen (Mae) Self Cabaniss and husband, Joe and Kathleen (Kat) Self Wolfe, all of Shelby; grandchildren, Timothy W. Norman and wife, Patsy, of Fallston and James Richard Norman and girlfriend, Karen Moss, of Shelby; step-great-grandsons, Jeremy Synder, Dustin and Stephen Moss; brother-in-law, Gerald B. Norman of Shelby; and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family members.
