Mr. Abbott passed away Wednesday in Austin. Employee of General Dynamics.

Survivors: Wife Mrs. Shirley Abbott, sons, Steve Abbott of Granbury, Thomas Abbott, Burlington, Connecticut, brothers, Stewart Abbott, Lantz, Maryland, Douglas Abbott, Randleman, North Carolina. Services 11 am Saturday at Martin's Chapel. Rev. Ted Cord officiating.

Interment in Holly Hills Memorial Park. Arrangements by Martin's Funeral Home, Granbury.

Mr. Abbott had been in the US Army, he had served in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe. He received a Victory Medal, American Theater Ribbon, European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon w/1 Silver Battle Star, 3 overseas service bars, Good Conduct Medal and a Purple Heart Medal, Go 1 192nd GH 45.

He was wounded in battle in Germany 1944.
