George Bradford Whaley was born in Sevier County, Tennessee. George was the son of William M Whaley and Mary Ann "Ogle" Whaley. George married Mary Jane Elledge in Sevier County, Tennessee on Jan 16, 1859. Mary Jane Elledge was the daughter of Thomas Hamilton Elledge and Nancy Holt-Elledge.
