Mrs. Pauline Banks, 46, died Tuesday at Memorial Hospital. She was widely known for her courageous fight against Multiple Sclerosis. She had been a resident of Memorial Rest Home for the past several years.
Mrs. Banks was born Aug. 7, 1926 at Gordon, Wyo., to Joe and Bertha Clay Salazar. In 1948, she was married to Jackie Banks at Sterling, Colo.
In the past, Mrs. Banks was awarded the pearl, highest honor of the King's Daughters, for her work as a member of the organization.
Survivors include her husband, Jackie, her father, Joe Salazar of Oregon; two sons, Steven of San Diego, Calif., and James of Costa Mesa, Calif, two daughters, Ivana Howard, Boise, Idaho, and Judy Carr, Ogallala, three grandchildren, two brothers and seven sisters.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church with Father Flinn officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
