In The Honor Of Mrs. I. B. Whitaker --

Last Friday morning in the home of Mr. and Mrs. I. B. Whitaker of Blakeville, this county, their children and close relatives assembled with well-filled baskets to celebrate the 65th birthday of Mrs. Whitaker, and the gathering was a joyous and happy surprise to her. At noon the dinner was spread on the lawn on two large tables and each guest served himself, cafeteria style, to a dinner composed of all the delicious things to eat that were in season. As the guests departed, they voiced the sentiments of The Observer and a host of friends of Mrs. Whitaker in wishing her many returns of that happy day. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Motlow and family, Mrs. Walter Higgins and children of Shelbyville, Mr. and Mrs. Holland Whitaker and children, Mr. and Mrs. Coleman Whitaker and children, Mr. and Mrs. Andy McDaniel and family, Mr. and Mrs. F. W. McDaniel of Nashville, Mr. Felding McDaniel, Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Wright, Mr. Robert Buchanan, and Miss Mary White Buchanan.
