His body was brought to the Higgins Funeral Home Sunday afternoon and funeral services were held from that place Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Otis Welch, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery by the side of his wife, Ida Harris Whitaker, who died seven years ago.
He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. R. L. Motlow of Mulberry and Mrs. Lawton Shannon of Dresden, Tennessee; three brothers, Mac Whitaker of Fayetteville, Holland Whitaker of Petersburg, and Coleman Whitaker of Pearl City; and several nieces and nephews.
