Found in The State 04 December 1972: Mrs. Nettie Dyson Bethea, 67, of 2910 Heyward St., wife of John Phillip Bethea, died Sunday morning in Richland Memorial Hospital. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Albertus Lorraine (how it is spelled in the obit) and Mary Barber Dyson. She was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church and was a retired employee of Western Union Co. Surviving are her husband; and three sisters, Mrs. Margery D. Lancaster, Mrs. Argus J. Karjcik and Miss Beatrice Tyson of Columbia. Funeral services will be today at 2 p.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Gervais Street Chapel, conducted by the Rev. D. E. Canady. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
