Death of Mrs. Esther Ryder.
Mrs. Esther Kohr Ryder, wife of Henry Ryder, of 550 West Chestnut street, died on Saturday morning at her home from general debility and heart trouble. She was in her seventy-ninth year and was born March 27, 1836, in Conestoga township. Her parents were the late Bishop John and Esther Denlinger Kohr. For many years of her married life she lived in Franklin county, but for sixteen years she had lived in Lancaster. She was a life-long member of the Reformed Mennonite church. Mrs. Ryder is survived by her husband and children as follows: Rev. John R., of Willow Street, and Elam J., of this city. These brothers and sisters also survive: Mrs. Annie Huber, of Bart township; Mrs. Elizabeth Herr, of this city; Jacob D. Kohr, of Dillerville, and Bishop John Kohr, of this city. The funeral will be held from the home on Tuesday afternoon at one o'clock and at the Reformed Mennonite church, East James street, at two o'clock. Interment will be made in Greenwood cemetery.
