Henry Ryder died on Thursday evening at his residence, No. 559 West Chestnut street, after an illness of one week, aged eighty-eight years. He formerly resided in Franklin county, coming to this city about twenty years ago. He was a member of the Reformed Mennonite church, of this city. His wife, formerly Miss Esther Kohr, daughter of the late Bishop John Kohr, died three years ago, but he is survived by the following sons: Rev. John K. Ryder, of Willow Street, and Elam J. Ryder, cashier of the Northern National Bank, of this city. Brief funeral services will be held at his late home on Sunday afternoon at 1:45 o'clock with further services at 2:30 o'clock in the Reformed Mennonite church, East James street. Interment will be made in Greenwood cemetery.
