Norma Theressa Rasmussen Anderson 1930 ~ 2013

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family and friends at her home in Lehi, UT on April 29, 2013. Norma was born February 11, 1930 in Mt. Pleasant, UT to Arthur Freeman Rasmussen and Jennie Eunice Peel Rasmussen. After the tragic death of her own mother at a very young age, she was raised by her father's second wife Pauline. She met the love of her life, Lee Anderson, at a Sanpete County Dance in Moroni, UT. They were married 65 years ago on October 2, 1948 in Reno, NV. Norma and Lee raised three sons in the Salt Lake City area and later moved to Lehi. Norma was active in the LDS church where she served in the Relief Society, choir and other activities. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, cards (bridge), travel, music and many family activities. Norma graduated from Utah Valley University with her degree in nursing. One of her biggest joys was working at the Utah Valley Training Center until her retirement. She spent countless hours volunteering her time and talents to anyone in need. Norma is survived by her husband, Lee; three sons, Sandy (Mikki) Anderson, Larry (Paula) Anderson, and Ronald Anderson; eight grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; and her brother Wallace Rasmussen. Norma is preceded in death by her parents, seven sisters, and one brother. The Anderson family wants to extend our sincere appreciation to Jim Jarman, Lenis and Kylie Rogowski and Teresa Brooks for their tireless service during the time of Norma's illness. You are all truly angels on this earth.
