BOCSY – Frank S. B., 91, Jenner Crossroads, died peacefully Sept. 14, 2013, at his daughter's home in Georgetown, Ky. Born Aug. 8, 1922, in Johnstown, son of Joseph and Suzanna (Danyi) Bocsy. Preceded in death by parents; wife of 55 years, Alma G. (Barnett) Bocsy on Oct. 20, 2008; brothers, Albert, Joseph and John; and sisters, Emma Usher, Betty Sopich and Irene Wilmering. Survived by son, James R., married to Elaine A. (Rockey) Bocsy, Jenner Crossroads; daughter, Janet L., married to Ron W. Walter, Georgetown, Ky.; grandchildren, Amy M. Bocsy, and fiance, Travis Fausey; David M. Bocsy; and Shawn M. and Colleen M. Walter; and special feline friend, Boots. Frank attended the former Cooper School. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served from November 1942 to December 1945 as an aviation engineer. A self-employed dairy farmer and maple producer. Member of Mount Laurel United Church of Christ, Somerset County Maple Producers Association and Boswell Area Historical Society. He enjoyed being a farmer, producing maple syrup, cutting over 13,000 quilt patches for Project Linus and teaching others his trade. Viewing from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main St., Boswell, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, the Rev. Dr. Joseph M. Beer, presiding. Interment, Beam Cemetery with military rites by the Somerset County Honor Guard.
