Joseph M. Bocsy, 76, of West Main St., Somerset, died June 16, 1983, at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born May 22, 1907, in Pittsburgh, son of the late Joseph M. and Susan Bocsy. Preceded in death by his first wife, the former Bertha Dumby. Survived by his wife, the former Ida Marie Steinkirchner, and a son, Joseph of Columbus, Ohio; five grandchildren. He was a brother of Albert of Stoystown; Mrs. John (Irene) Wilmering, Baltimore, Md.; Mrs. Joseph (Elizabeth) Sopich and Frank, both of Stoystown RD. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, VFW. Former owner and operator of Laurel-Lisa Bowling Alley and Somerset Classic Lanes, also Sunshine Laundromat. A veteran of World War II. Friends will be received 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 4-9 p.m. Sunday at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Samuel Tomaselli officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
