SOPICH - Elizabeth I. "Betty" (Bocsy), 89, of Jenner Crossroads, died March 14, 2006, at Country Manor, Jerome. Born Feb. 10, 1917, in Johnstown, daughter of Joseph and Susanne (Danyi) Bocsy. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Joseph F., Jan. 30, 2000; sister, Emma Ussher; and brothers, Joseph, John and Albert Boscy. Survived by these children: Joseph M., married to the former Penny Jacobs, Boswell; Doris A. O'Connor, New Carrollton, Md.; David W., at home; and Nancy E. Sopich, Fort Washington, Md.; grandchildren, Michael, Danielle, Patricia, Jennifer, Tammy and David; and great-grandchildren, Justin, Chase, Nikolas, Christopher and LeAnna Nicole. Sister of Irene, married to John Wilmering, Baltimore, and Frank, married to the former Alma Barnett, Jenner Crossroads. Sister-in-law of Katherine Novak and Wanita Sopish, both of Boswell. Also survived by special niece, Susan Paul, Johnstown. Member of the Mount Laurel United Church of Christ, near Gray. She enjoyed gardening and cooking. A viewing from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Hoffman Funeral Home -- Cremation Services, Main Street, Boswell.
