Born September 18, 1931, in Drayton, SC, he was the son of the late C. L. and Beatrice Elizabeth (Bell) Bobo.
A veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during the Korean War, he was a former community development inspector for the City of Spartanburg for 27 years, a taxidermist for 42 years, was an avid hunter and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Joyce Elaine Lane Bobo; sons, Charles "Chuck" Brooks Bobo, Jr. (Chris) of Pauline, SC and Michael David Bobo of Charleston, SC; daughter, Lisa Bobo Klein (Toshio) of Inman, SC; granddaughter, Melissa Brooks Bobo of Charlotte, NC; and brother, L. Paul Bobo of Charlotte.
He was predeceased by sisters, Ruth Kneece, Mary Moser, and Dorothy Thomas.
Visitation was 6:00-8:00 PM on Monday, September 23, 2013, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel.
Funeral services were at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 24, 2013, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Edgar Boles. Burial with military rites by the SC State Guard Honors Team was in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
