A solemn requiem high mass was held Thursday, Sept. 15 at 10 a. m. from the Church of the Little Flower for Walter Keller, 71. Rt. Rev. Msgr. N. T. Cloos was celebrant; Rve. F. X. Miller, deacon, and Rev.. Joseph Campbell, sub-deacon. Mrs. Carl Weimer was organist. Mr. Keller passed away Sept. 12 at the Good Samaritan Hosptial following a heart attack.
He was born Jan. 15, 1895 at Odessa, Russia, the son of Anton and Marion Gross Keller. He came to the United States in 1910 and had lived in the Berwick, Knox and Rugby area since that time. He was married Feb. 25, 1917 at Berwick to Margaret Tuchscherer. She survives with ten children: Kathryn Busch, Anton, Christine Zacher, Peter, Roy, John, Walter, Mike, Margaret Voeller and Bernice Pharis. Six children preceded their father in death. Other survivors include a brother, Roy Keller, Fullerton, Calif, and a sister, Mrs. Christine Burkhart, Devils Lake, N. Dak.; 49 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
