Funeral services for Joe Hayes Whitaker, 21, of Coldwater, who died Monday night in the Huntsville hospital of a fractured skull suffered Sunday night in an automobile collision four miles from Huntsville on the Fayetteville highway, were conducted this morning at 10:30 o’clock at the residence, by the Rev. M. T. Ellis and the Rev. O. W. Jones. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery in Fayetteville. Young Whitaker was graduated from the local high school. He attended Cumberland University, at Lebanon, and Business College, at Bowling Green, Ky., and was a member of the Methodist church. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Whitaker; a sister, Miss Helen Whitaker; and two brothers, Bob and Dan Whitaker. Funeral arrangements were in charge of Higgins Brothers, Fayetteville.
