Word was received here Tuesday evening, of the death of Samuel R. Throckmorton, formerly of Waynesburg, which had occurred that day in a hospital in New York, where he had been for several months. His death was the result of injuries sustained about the head, but no details were given. Mr. Throckmorton was a son of William S. and Amanda Cross Throckmorton, deceased, and was born near Rogersville. He was aged 42 years. For several years he resided with his family in Waynesburg where he was employed as a painter and paper hanger. Beside his wife, Mrs. Alice Crouse Throckmorton, he leaves three children, Lillian, Ruth and Barbara Jean, and one brother, Elzie Throckmorton, formerly of Waynesburg. No arrangements have yet been made for the funeral.
