Mrs. Amanda C. Throckmorton, widow of W. S. Throckmorton, of Franklin township, died in the Waynesburg hospital, Sunday, August 18, aged 79 years, of complications due to advanced years. Mrs. Throckmorton was a daughter of Rev. and Mrs. David Cross, deceased, and had spent her entire life in Greene County. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church. Two sons survive, Samuel and Elzie Throckmorton, of Waynesburg.
