Victoria Samman Brown passed away peacefully with her family by her side on September 28, 2013, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Victoria was born on June 22, 1923, in Taft, Texas, to Anton and Carrie Samman, She grew up in Taft and graduated from Taft High School. After Graduation, she completed courses at Draughon's Business College and began a career at Corpus Christi Naval Air Station. It was there that she worked for the navy and army until she married and retired.
Victoria was a loving and devoted Mother and Grandmother. Throughout her life, she engaged in various activities and had several interests. Among those were writing about her family's history, painting landscapes, crocheting, sewing, and cooking. For many years, she served as a voting precinct judge in Corpus Christi, Texas and was also a member of a women's business club that specialized in speaking before audiences.
For over 60 years, she was an ardent member of Travis Baptist Church. She was strong in her faith and a devout Christian. She will be dearly missed. She had a smile that would light up a room. She will always be remembered for her love for family.
Victoria is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Alfred, Phillip, and William Samman; her sisters, Evelyn Aboud, Adell Botary, Marie Samman, and Josephine Davis.
Burial and interment will follow the funeral service at Rose Hill Memorial Park. Published by Seaside Funeral Home, September 30, 2013.
