He had two sons and two daughters with Catherine (Catharena) Wagner between the years 1841 and 1857. He came to America in 1856 with his wife & 3 children. His Dau: Anna Catherina was born in 1857 after their arrival. He passed away on March 18, 1902 in Summit, Waukesha Co, Wisconsin having lived a long life of 85 years.
