Frederick John Stephan was born on Nov 11, 1816 in Lampertheim, Starkenburg, Hesse-Darmstadt. His father Adam Stephan b1778 was 38 and his mother Anna Maria was 29. He was Baptized in the Lutheran Church shown to the right. This Lutheran Church in Lampertheim is where the Stephan's attended & were Buried for generations in the Church Graveyard. He had two sons and two daughters with Catherine (Catharena) Wagner between the years 1841 and 1857. He came to America in 1856 with his wife & 3 children. His Dau: Anna Catherina was born in 1857 after their arrival. He passed away on March 18, 1902 in Summit, Waukesha Co, Wisconsin having lived a long life of 85 years. Frederick was a 1st Cousin to this writers G/grandfather - see Mem#114985826 - My G/grandfather came over aboard ship with Frederick's father Adam Stephan when he immigrated in 1832.
