Mrs. Martin Bonk, 86, died last night at her home, 1118 South 22nd street, after a short illness.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Pfeffer funeral home and at 9 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic church, the Rev. John Landowski officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary cemetery.
Mrs. Bonk, nee Pauline Bonk (sic), was born in 1862 in Poland and the family came to America and settled in Newton in 1866. She was married to Martin Bonk in 188?? He died in 1925.
Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Walter Somenski of Detroit and Mrs. Peter Mrotek, Mrs. Reinhardt Butz and Mrs. Frank Charneski of Manitowoc; five sons, John Walter, Joseph and Louis of Manitowoc and Frank of Orville, Calif. One son, Charles, died three years ago. Twenty-two grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren also survive.
The body may be viewed after 7 o'clock this evening at the funeral home and the Rosary society will recite the rosary at 7 o'clock tonight. Father John Landowski will lead the rosary at 7 p.m. Friday.
