SOPHIA BUTZ
Mrs. Sophia A. Butz, 83, of 1110 South 22nd Street, Manitowoc, died Monday evening, January 16, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, and 10:00 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church. The Rev. Theodore Henerichs will officiate with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Butz, nee Sophia Alice Bonk, was born August 9, 1900, in Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Martin and Pauline Bonk. She resided in Manitowoc all her life and attended St. Mary Parochial School. She married Reinhardt S. Butz, in 1920, at Chicago, Ill. He preceded her in death February 9, 1976.
Survivors include a son and a daughter-in-law, Robert R. and Josephine A. Butz of Manitowoc; a daughter, Miss Shirlee Butz of Chicago; five grandchildren, and a great granddaughter, Heidi. She was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday evening, where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
