Obituary: "Sally Jo Pherigo, 55, of rural Beardstown, died at 5:17pm Sunday, September 17, 1995, at St John's Hospital in Springfield. Born August 26, 1940, near Beardstown to Clarence H. and Ileen Van Hyning Cassady Pate, she married Robert Pherigo on September 7, 1957, in Beardstown. He survives. Also surviving are two sons, Bob Jr and Randy, both of Beardstown; three daughters, Bille Jo Bollinger and Debbie Knous, both of Beardstown, and Sherry Warden of Albuquerque, NM; two brothers, Tom Pate of Beardstown and Clarence "Corky" Pate of Rushville; eight sisters, Joy Taylor, Brenda Gaus, Marcia Knous, Judy Hawk, Sandy Fox and Loni Suddeth, all of Beardstown, Linda Derry of Industry and Pat Humphery of Peoria; and six grandchildren. She attended Beardstown schools and had worked at the St Luke Heath Care Facility for 15 years. She was a member of the Beardstown Worship Center and TOPS. Services will be 10:30am Wednesday at Sager Funeral Home in Beardstown. The Reverend Don Rowan will officiate. Burial will be in Beardstown City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Lutheran Social Services of Beardstown."
