Born on Feb. 3, 1892, in Mt. Olive, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Fleming. He came to Staunton as a young man and on July 15, 1915 he was married to Miss Hattie Dick. Mrs. Fleming passed away on April 22, 1972. He was a carpenter by trade and for many years was engaged in farming east of Staunton, retiring in 1957. He was a member of the Carpenters Union and the Mine Workers Local. Interment was in Memorial Park cemetery.
