John A. Prebil, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Prebil, 120 Eight street northwest, entered the service Aug. 10, 1943, and was killed on Okinawa by Jap mortar shell June 17, 1945 as a member of an infantry unit. He was awarded the combat infantry badge, the Purple Heart and Bronze Star.
