Found in The State 23 January 1928: L. D. Bowen, former Columbian, died at a local hospital at 10:30 last night after an extended illness. Mr. Bowen had been retired from active business for several years. He was 70 years of age and formerly operated a truck and dairy farm near the city. He made his home at 228 Henderson street. Surviving him are his widow and several children. Funeral arrangements had not been completed early this morning.
