Found in The State 27 March 1974: Mrs. William Arendell Styron, 73, died Tuesday in a local nursing home. Mrs. Styron, the former Susie Bowen, was born in Oconee County, a daughter of the late Lawrence Dayton and Sarah Bonham Bowen. She was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. Surviving are two sons, William T. and John Phillip Styron; a sister, Mrs. Zula Bradford of Spartanburg; and eight grandchildren.
