He was born Jan. 19, 1920, in Bunker Hill, to Ira and Pearl Meharg Chenoweth.
Mr. Chenoweth was a wheat farmer. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.
On May 18, 1947, he married Girtha M. Branam. She survives. Other survivors include a son, John M. Chenoweth of Georgetown, Texas; a daughter, Annetta M. Young of Derby; a grandson; a brother, Dean Chenoweth of Haviland; and a sister, Terri Snyder of La Habra, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, Gladys Schmidt; and two sisters, Audrey Ellis and Kitty Leffer.
Funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church in Johnson City. Burial will follow at Stanton County Cemetery in Johnson City, with military rites conducted.
Memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church or American Heart Association, both in care of Garnand Funeral Home, Box 715, Johnson City, KS
