Pauline Josephine Dinger, 94, of Manhattan, Kansas, died Sunday, December 29, 2013, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center in Wichita. She was a life-long resident of the area.

Pauline was born October 4, 1919, in Osborne, Kansas, the daughter of George and Sadie Scott William. She attended local schools and graduated in 1938 from St. George High School.

Pauline was a homemaker. She also worked for a while candling eggs and baby sitting. She loved to go fishing, work jigsaw puzzles, and doing embroidery. She was an active member of the Manhattan Kingdom Hall and a Regular Pioneer.

Pauline married Chester Marvin Dinger on April 13, 1940, in Wamego, Kansas. They lived most of their married life in Wabaunsee, a few years in St. George, and the last twelve years in Manhattan. Chester survives at their home.

She is also survived by her daughters, Thelma New (Delbert) Oskaloosa, Flossie Dinger, Ogden, and Marjorie Wickizer, Hamilton: her sons, Austin Dinger (Kay), Topeka, and Ed Dinger (Tammy), Valley Falls; her siblings, Lena, Rose, Lois, Betty, Roger and Warren; twenty-eight grandchildren, sixty great-grandchildren and seventy-six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Marvin Dinger, six siblings, and five grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 am at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Manhattan, Kansas. Graveside inurnment services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at Wamego City Cemetery.
