James J. Conrad, 62, of rural West Point died at 8:47 a.m. Thursday, May 11, 2000, at Great River Medical Center following a six-week illness.
Born Jan. 13, 1938, at Keota, he was the son of Bernard N. and Leona Sanders Conrad.
Mr. Conrad was a lifelong resident of the St. Paul area. For many years he worked at J.J. Nichting Implement of Pilot Grove and operated the family farm since 1972. He was a member of the board of directors of the low-rent facility of St. Paul. He was a member of the St. James Catholic Church in St. Paul, the Knights of Columbus of Houghton and the Dominic Club of Burlington.
